Delete your DiscoBeat account

You probably have no account. DiscoBeat works without one. An account exists only if you signed in under Settings → Account to send diagnostics. Deleting the app removes everything that was only on your phone.
In the app
- iPhone: Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm.
- Android: Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm.
You need to be signed in. If you cannot sign in any more, use email (below).
On the web
Sign in at my.discobeat.app/account and choose Delete account.
By email
Write to privacy@discobeat.app from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. A person reads it and deletes the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and replies when it is done. If you write from another address we will ask you to confirm from the account's address first, so that nobody can delete someone else's account.
What is deleted, and when

What is not deleted, and why
Anonymous measurements. If you switched on Share light latency or Share usage summary, those samples were never linked to your account, your phone or your home, so there is nothing that could find yours to delete it. They expire on their own (24 and 13 months). Switching them off stops new ones.
The account's ID number. For 31 days after the deletion we keep the account's internal ID number and the time, and nothing else: no email address. If our server is ever restored from a backup taken before you deleted the account, that list is how the account is deleted again instead of coming back. It is then deleted too.
Purchases. DiscoBeat Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play and is tied to your Apple or Google account, not to a DiscoBeat account. Deleting the DiscoBeat account does not refund or remove it.
